That’s one of the most common responses we receive! And it’s true – we have, many times.

We photographed one of the first London civil partnership ceremonies at 8am on the day of the law change in December 2005, and shot at least another 30 during the following year. In advance of that, we’d worked with a gay party planner who staged two mock civil partnerships for us to photograph, so we could gain experience and understanding of what’s required (we think we were the only photographers in the UK to have stock photos of civil partnerships before the law change).

We understand the sensitivities of photographing couples who may have never been pictured together before, especially when being loving and affectionate in public. We are sensitive about dealing with family issues, for example, where one or more family members may not be in attendance. And we appreciate the necessity of keeping images safe and secure, particularly for clients with high-powered jobs who wish their private life to remain private.

We work with empathy and sensitivity for every couple, to understand their own situation and then take beautiful photos, full of love and laughter, that make you look fantastic. We know how to pose people so they look their best, and we keep going and going until we get fabulous reportage-style and posed pictures that capture the essence of your relationship and commitment to each other.
